Ms Beth Purdy-Dart, School Principal

Welcome to Warooka Primary and School-Based Preschool.

Warooka is a small, welcoming school located on the beautiful Southern Yorke Peninsula. Our children come from Warooka and the surrounding communities of Marion Bay, Corny Point, Point Turton and The Pines, bringing a wonderful range of experiences and strong connections to our local community.

At Warooka, every child is known, valued and supported. Our small-school setting allows us to build strong relationships with children and families and provide learning experiences that respond to each child’s individual strengths, interests and needs.

Our school values, Belonging, Inventiveness, Courage, Respect and Compassion, guide everything we do. We want our children to feel that they belong, have confidence in their own abilities and are empowered to contribute their ideas. Student voice, wellbeing, creativity and community connection are important parts of learning at Warooka.

Children benefit from engaging classroom programs, contemporary technologies and a wide range of sporting, creative and community-based opportunities. Our School-Based Preschool, playgroup and playcentres also enable us to build meaningful relationships with children and families from the earliest years.

We are proud of our strong partnerships with families, local organisations and the wider Southern Yorke Peninsula community. These connections enrich our children’s learning and help them understand the important part they play in their community.
